Philip Edmon Bailly

Savannah-Philip Edmon Bailly, 90, went home to be with the Lord, September 16, 2008 at Savannah Specialty Care Center.
He was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, graduated from Lafayette College and lived most of his life in New Jersey where he was an automobile dealer. After a few years in Michigan he retired to Port Orange, Florida where he lived seventeen years before moving to Savannah in 2006.
He served as a Lieutenant in US Army where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He played the piano and was a keen tennis player.
Mr. Bailly was a member of Christian Gathered to the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne Mackewich; his son, Philip Bailly, Jr. and his grandson, Timothy Bailly.
Surviving are his three daughters, Nancy and Frederick Beale of Richmond, Virginia, Adele and Bill Watt of Savannah, Georgia and Elaine DiCataldo of Beachwood, New Jersey; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Bailly of Tinton Falls, New Jersey; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Memorial Service: 11:00 AM Friday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Burial: Private.
